Bill, thank you very much for coming to Peoria. The whole idea behind our Building Community speaker’s series with the City Council has been to offer thought provoking viewpoints on growth, development and the economy, and your presentation was the perfect capstone to that series. It was a positive and lively presentation with some provocative ideas to keep conversation flowing. The next challenge is to plan and invest for the future so that the local and regional economy not only recovers from the housing crash, but is stronger and more viable moving forward. As you know, we have spent a lot of time on repositioning our city services. The City of Peoria municipal organization is not just leaner, but we are now structured to operate more efficiently and more productively in this changed environment. Thank you again for your thoughts – we look forward to your next trip to Peoria as we pursue our economic strategy.
